Day 10-November 7

Good Morning,
Jalin had a fairly calm night, except for around 3:00 A.M. She got worked up because she was scared. The nurses calmed her down and reassured her it was all ok. When Darryl and I saw her this morning at 10:30, she looked great! She smiled at her dad. Glorious Day! She had an xray and an ultrasound on her heart and lung area. Still waiting on the results of that. While Granny and I were holding Jalin's hands, she kept trying to tell us something. We asked many questions, trying to get her to answer us by shaking her head. She finally mouthed WATER! The nurse sponged her mouth and she calmed down. She communicated with us through her lips! We are still praying for the vent to come out, and her stomach to digest the nutrients they are giving her through the feeding tube. Keep lifting her up please! We love you all, and appreciate your outpouring of love.

  3. Hey Mrs. Jones, Preacher Darryl, Jalin and family!
Praise the Lord!! It was wonderful to see the update and to hear of Jalin's progress. I get on here numerous times during the school day waiting for updates. It is amazing to watch God work in Jalin's life.
It is truly amazing to see our student body rallying around Jalin...wearing their "Walking in Faith" shirts, wearing yellow ribbons, and praying with one another for Jalin.
Jalin, we miss you girl. Stay strong in your faith. The song "Like Never Before" comes to my mind when thinking of you. The song says : Lord I need you Like never before, This mountain is the highest one I've ever tried to climb, These burdens I carry are greater this time, It seems I am depending on you more and more, Lord I need you like never before. Jalin, He is there with you...holding you in His arms...and carrying you up this mountain you are having to climb. Rest, and know that He is going to heal you.
We are going to continue to petition the Lord on Jalin's and your family's behalf.
    Love
    Mrs. Salmon

She is definitely not alone she has her family and her other FAMILY (Church & Community) We pray that the vent will be removed so that she will be able to speak better and that her lungs continue to be strengthened. 15. Hey ya'll. Hearing of Jalin's improvement is such a blessing to me! I'm praying for ya'll each and every day. I know God is hearing our prayers because she's improving everyday. I replay in my mind everyday the song Jalin sang in Florida this year; "How Great Is Our God"! Well we're getting just a small sample of how great He is! I know to us it's so amazing at what He has done so far but as I sit back and think; It's amazing at how great He really is. I love ya'll and look real forward to seeing you all very soon.

  23. Brother Daryl, Lori, Jalin, and Jordan,
This is Lisa Holland. I go to PMBC and did when you went there. Mrs. Lori, you were very special to me and still are. My heart has been torn for your family, but God is Sovereign! He is in complete control of Jalin's life. I can't say that I know the pain you are going through because I don't but I do know the pain of a child that has chosen to go down the path of destruction, and if the pain in any way resembles what you might be going through, it is heart wrenching as a parent to watch your child suffer and feeling so helpless as a Mom or a Dad. I too have had to come to a place in my life where I am totally dependent upon God for whatever takes place in my son's life and the choices he made. Even though our situations are different, they are also the same because we depend on that same Holy, perfect, and righteous God to spare our child, to have mercy on our child, to mend our child.
Your family has always held a very special place in my heart, and I commit to pray for all of you daily as I do for my own child. It is amazing to sit back and see what God does when we just give it to Him.

I love you all & God Bless you all!
    Keep fighting Jalin!!!!

    In Christ,
    Lisa Holland

  24. Dear Jones family,
A quick note to tell you all our prayers are with you and we know first hand what you are going through. Our little Molly was also very sick, on a vent and in a drug induced coma for months. She is now home, for almost a year, and getting stronger each day. We trusted in our Heavenly Father knowing He was aware of us and our faith grew as we felt His strenght. I know He is watching over Jalin and each of you blessing you depending on your needs. We will continue to keep each of you in our prayers.
We send our love and may Heavenly Father bless you with peace and strenght.
