Day 9-November 6

Jalin had a great night and today they are trying to be more aggressive with her lungs. They have reduced her settings on the ventilator and talking about removing one of the chest tubes- "Great News" She looked so much better this morning and had a great color. All the nurses and doctors have fell in love with her. She is still under the ether because every time she awakes, she wants to sit up and get out- (Such a fighter) Please continue to pray that she will be overcome the battle with her lungs and her pneumonia. This is a very hard thing to go through but God is holding our hands. Do me a favor and tell someone today, your children, your parents, your neighbors, your boss, your friends -how much you love and appreciate them. Life is so precious!

  7. May Jalin, her family and friends know that they have been placed on a mighty prayer chain. Our prayer warriors are asking for the Lord's quiet inner strength to guide them through this journey, and to bestow many blessings and miracles their way. Your Great Aunt Toni is gathering up a mighty army to lift you up in prayer and to let you know that the Lord's children are always thinking of you.

  9. I truly agree with you concerning telling your love ones how much you love and appreciate them. The night of the accident, I was feeding baby Gracie when I got the call. I was told that Jalin was thrown from the van.I knew Mindy and Jerome was driving the van and I felt like the caller wasn't telling me everything. Just a few minutes passed and Mindy called me to tell me what had happened. I couldn't wait to see their faces that night. Mindy told me the next morning, when they were coming back from Birmingham ,that Jerome told her that he couldn't wait to see Gracie and hold her in his arms. They both came in and began loving on her and telling her how much they love her. This was the same way I felt when 9-11 happened. All I wanted to do was get my family together and be safe. We do take so many things for granted, especially when everything is going good, but in the hard times is when we realize how precious our love ones really are. Jalin feels you strength and love and this will keep her fighting for a speedy recovery. We love you and will miss you Sunday at Gracie's dedication. I know you will be there in spirit. With love and continually praying for your baby girl. Sandra Harris

  29. I am so glad to hear that she is doing better. What an emotional rollercoaster ride. I can’t even imagine what it must be like. You know your family has always meant a lot to us and I know where Jalin gets that beautiful smile. From the first time we met you guys I can remember that there has always been a warm smile on both her parents’ face. No wonder the Doctors and nurses have fell in love with her. Who Wouldn’t? I think about Jalin all the time and pray for her 24/7. Even when things look dark the lighthouse is still shining. May God hold each of you in his arms and bring comfort in such emotional times.

    Love

  30. Guys- God has given me the desire to share our daily QT to encourage you. Yesterday really spoke to me as it was from Mark 4:35 - 41 when Jesus calms the seas. The commentary says, " Christ's humanity is clearly seen in that He falls asleep. The Servant is tired in serving. When the storm comes, the disciples waken Christ. He sleepily arises and as God, rebukes the wind. So, in one little paragraph, we see both the humanity and deity of Christ. The Lord then rebukes them for their lack of faith."
The Life Step - We also have storms in life. How wonderful that out Savior calms the storms. He is in full control.
As a bit of encouragement, Jesus understands your tiredness, your need for rest, and how serving can be overwhelming for He too felt that way! He is in control and He will calm this storm in your life in His time. I know you guys know the Bible better than me, but I think it's great to be reminded that Christ not only died for our salvation, He lived the life of man on this earth so He could understand our pain even more. I hope these words will minister to you today and help you stand strong and trusting that He will calm your storm. Lisa K

  40. WOW! What more can be said. God is so awesome. He can take a terrible accident, protect the lives of those involved, heal the ones injured (in His time), give strength to the families, save the lost, call those who strayed out of His will back to Him, mend hearts and bring a community together to pray, all within a week or so. Is he awesome or what? I am so thankful we serve a risen savior and so excited to see what is still to come.
So thankful to hear Jalin is getting better. She is such a sweet, loving person and a true minister with her music & singing and He has given her an amazing testimony to share in the future. We are truly praying without ceasing and praising God for what he has done and what He will do. We Love You All and will do anything we can for you.
Love, Rodney, Tina, Brittany, & Cody
