This morning around 9 Am Jalin had a set back. Her Oxygen levels and blood pressure went down and their trauma team had to work with her lungs. They had to intensify the ventilator levels again. They had to vaccum out her lungs. However, all of her vitals are now good. Her Oxygen levels are great. Her blood pressure is better. Her heart rate is good. She is totally sedated again and hopefully will have some improvement as the day continues. Two steps forward -one step backwards. God is Our Strength- He holds her life in His hands. Mrs. Lori is being strong. For me, God is teaching me. We have emptied ourselves before Holy God. God is speaking to many in this hour. Please continue to petition God on Jalin's behalf. Pray specifically that Jalin will continue to breath on her own and be less dependent on the ventilator. That device saves lives but can cause complications. Last night she was breathing on her own. This morning totally dependent on the support. We are anticipating the Hand of God to move on her life today.

Hey Jalin and Family !
ReplyDeleteI just want to let you all know that you are in my prayers! I know God will continue to bless this road Jalin is on. I can't wait to hear her singing and watch her perform dramas for the Lord again!
Psalm 121

Lori and Darryl, We are so sorry that you and Jalin are still going through all of this. We realize the pain that is equally shared between parents and their children. Only God knows what he has in store for Jalin and we believe she's going to be giving some wonderful testimony really soon. Continue to trust in the Lord and he will be there to lift you all up. God bless you all and your wonderful family, Stacey and Dean Mallory (sgmallory@bellsouth.net)
ReplyDeleteI rush home every day and turn my computer on to see how Jalin's doing with her recevery. I'm so glad that yall have this blog. This helps alot. I feel your pain, I hurt when you hurt. I am so blessed that we have a church that is so close and feel what everyone is going through. The doctor's have always told me when my kids were sick that they would get worse before they would get better. But I know that God will continue to keep healing her body. My spirit has really been uplifted. It's like I can't stop praying. Every time I turn around and start talking to myself I find myself praying. God is so good. Look what pray has already done. My heart goes out to Jalin and to you Bro. Darryl, Lori, and Jordan. Yall are very special folks and mean alot to me and my family. May God continue holding you and healing you. Always praying.

ReplyDeleteI want you to know that I am praying for you every day. You are on my mind every day.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can do all things. As I am sitting here, I can see you in the drama "Shout To The Lord" signing and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In the song it says,"
My Jesus, My Savior, Lord there is none like you.
All of my days, I want to Praise the wonders of your mighty love. My comfort, My Shelter, Tower of Refuge and Strength, Let every breath, all that I am , never cease to worship you.
This song reminds me of the true walk and relationship you have with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I love you and praying for you!!

ReplyDeleteHang in there. Don't forget that when David was to go up against "Goliath", he was a boy. He had victory because the battle IS THE LORD'S! He goes before you NOW and is fighting her battle.
ReplyDelete2 Chronicles 20:17 says "Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you... "
We're continuing to pray,
Ronnie and Jennifer Bragg
Dear Pastor Darryl and family we have prayed for Jalin every since we heard the news. I have been so worried about your precious child. I am so thankful you have such strong faith to help you through this. I believe GOD is holding her in his hands and was with her on that day. Not many people could have even survived such trauma. There will probably be many setbacks but it will all come together especially since they have the pelvis somewhat stable I assume. The fluid is a big concern just from her being immobile, but with time that too shall pass. We will all continue to pray for her because indeed she is a miracle and has a wonderful purpose in this world. We love your family and I will never forget the feeling I felt in that church. GOD bless you all and give you strength. Love Kim Wiggins and family.

Alaina and T.J. ask about you daily and I tell them that ur in God's hands and he will take good care of you. When they say their prayers they pray for you and your family.

Hi Folks ;hoping to find Jalin better, our prayers remain on her and with all you family. Sherrie understands more than I do about all these things Jalin is going through , she says this thing is about the same as Jane experienced in her wreck back in 1993. Jalin's problems are almost identical to Jane's Pelvis, Lungs, other broken bones. Yes we need to concentrate our prayers on her lungs and will. Jerry Musick

ReplyDeleteWe love you and Jalin and all you sweet people are on the prayer list at Macedonia and there are some prayer warriors at work. I know Jalin will have a long haul back but she has so many people who love her and all of you and so many who are praying for her....she will be fine. Lori, you are special and I can kind of imagine how your heart hurts for your baby. Keep your eye on the cross and your mind on Jesus...dont dwell on things that you cannot change...the Lord is in control and trust him to do his thing in his time...he is always on time so we know that he cares for us. Get rest and tell Jalin that I love to hear her sing.. and I am waiting to hear her again.
Carole Benefield
Jalin & family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you over and over each day. We love you all, and we trust your spirit will remain strong. Please let us know if we can help in any way. Jessica, I think you are responsible for the blog....Thank you. Keeping up to date without bothering the family with calls is important. Paulette & Scotty Gibbs
ReplyDeleteJalin,
ReplyDeleteJust sitting here thinking about you.I don't understand why such a God fearing christian like yourself is going through something so bad, but it's not for me to question. Something truly amazing is going to come from all this.We are already seeing great things. People are coming together in prayer and alot of us are opening our eyes to reailty. We love you and Bro.Darryl,Lori,Jordon and Jessica. We are praying for all of you every day and every night all the time. Get well soon can't wait to see and hear you sing HE KNOWS MY NAME agian.

Hey as I read about today's journey I can somewhat relate my son, Andrew-ryan was in the icu for 14 days we were also on a vent. Some days were better than others. As we began to see a new corner for the good something else would take place, but I am here to testify for andrew and my family that God is bigger than this and Jalin will beat this. We are 8 weeks now out of icu and doing great! God's timing not ours... continuing to remember you guys in our prayers. we love you and if you need anything please let us know!

"3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perserance;4 perseverance, character; and character, hope." Romans 5:3-4
ReplyDeleteRejoice in suffering? Doesn't that sound weird?Maybe at first. But notice what Paul says. He doesnt rejoice because he is suffering-that would be weird. Instead, Paul rejoices in suffering because of what it produces in his life. If your life is a breeze, you won't learn to be genuine or caring;you won't mature, and your faith won't be tested and deepened. The difficulties of life are what make you a better person- stronger, deeper, more hopeful. When you're hurting realize that pain is what helps you grow more like Christ.
I found this in my Bible and it reminded me of what you all might be going through. I want you all to know I love you and I'm praying for you and intend to continue to pray for you!!! Remeber God has his hands wrapped around Jalin and your family.
Amber Hammond
Hey Pastor Daryll and Mrs. Lori. I hope everything is going well there. I have been praying for Jalin, and you guys just dont know how much everyone loves you all. We will continue in prayer for Jalin in hope that she will keep having this amazing recovery. I just want to encourage you to keep fighting and keep praying, and that the Lord is with you, and to remind you to remember how much He loves you! Me and my family love yall soo much, and will probably be visiting sometime next week. We cant wait to see yall!
ReplyDeleteIn Christ,

Today as I was driving down the road I was amazed by God's magnificent artwork on the fall landscape and I thought of you guys not being able to enjoy it, how much we take for granted! I heard the song Waiting from the movie Fireproof and it reminded me of your waiting - the songs says, "I'm waiting on you Lord and I am hopeful. I will serve you while I'm waiting, I will worship while I'm waiting, I will praise you while I'm waiting. I am waiting on you Lord and I am peaceful." I pray that thru your waiting you are hopeful and find much peace. I know you are serving Him and worshipping & praising Him. In our QT today, Mark 4:13-29, it explains the Parable of the Sower and how not all seeds fall on fertile ground and grow and mature to produce fruit, but that does not mean we should not continue to sow. Maybe this is where God needs you to sow - at UAB. Continue to serve Him and your seeds have the potential to yield fruit!
ReplyDeleteAs I was browsing thru my bible, I came across a message Pastor Darryl preached on 1/22/06 - The Power of Nothing - Luke 1:37 - For nothing will be impossible with God.
I pray tonight will be a night of rest for each of you and tomorrow a day of progress. Much love to you all - Lisa
Hello Jalin and Family,
ReplyDeleteI just come to know you Jalin this year at youth camp, and you are really a blessing. You really touched my heart the day you sang "He Knows My Name". You did a great job, and I know with Gods help you will sing it again. Don't give up, just keep calling on the Name Of The Lord and He is going to see you through this storm. I just want you and your family to know I am praying for each one of you. Remember Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be Strong And Of A Good Courage, Fear Not, Nor Be Afraid Of Them: For The Lord Thy God, He It Is That Doth Go With Thee; He Will Not Fail Thee, Nor Forsake Thee."

P.S. Jalin you will know me as Dustin and Ben Laney's Mom

Along life's road there will be sunshine and rain. Roses and thorns, laughter and pain. And cross the miles, you will face mountains so steep. Deserts so long and valleys so deep.
Sometimes the journey's gentle. Sometimes the cold winds blow. But I want you to remember, I want you to know
You will never walk alone as long as you have faith. Jesus will be right beside you all the way. And you may feel you're far from home. But home is where He is. And He'll be there down every road, you will never walk alone Never no Never
The path will wind, you will find wonders and fears. Labors of love and a few falling tears. Across the years there will be some twists and turns. Mistakes to make and lessons to learn.
Jesus knows your joy, Jesus Knows your need. He will go the distance with you faithfully.
You will never walk alone He will be right beside you all the way. And you may feel you're far from home. He'll be there down every road.
You will never walk alone as long as you have faith. Jesus will be right beside you all the way. And you may feel you're far from home but home is where he is. And he'll be there down every road, you will never walk alone.
Love you,

Dear Jalin & Family,
ReplyDeleteWe are very sorry to hear of Jalin's set back yesterday, and we have already prayed for God's healing hand and protection to be upon her today. We are amazed by your tremendous faith as we read the updated blogs each day! As we were praying for you this morning three names describing God crossed our mind: "Jehovah-shammah"- The Lord is here; "Jehovah-jireh"- The Lord will provide; "Jehovah-rafa"- God is our healer. All three of these names describe the love and power that our amazing God exhibits toward his children. He is more than enough, and I know he will provide all of Jalin's needs! We will continue to pray everyday for Jalin's recovery.
