Day 25 Saturday Morning -November 22, 2008

Good Morning To You,
I have been so busy nursing Jalin that I have not written to you lately. Jalin is getting stronger each day. Her wounds are healing nicely also. She still has a difficult time getting comfortable, and then she gets frustrated. Please continue to pray for her complete recovery. She wants to get up and walk. She wants her life of normal activities back. Pray that she will be patient and remember the Lord's mercy on her.
Your comments on this blog have truly inspired us and helped us to cope with all the struggles we are facing. Keep them coming please! We love yall, and appreciate all of your encouraging words and prayers.
Much love and thankfulness,
Lori

  2. What a beautiful, crisp morning it is! Jalin, it is so good to hear that you are getting stronger each day. To a certain extent I understand how you feel, Jalin. When I was 16, I was in a car accident that kept me hospitalized for five weeks. Just keep your faith and believe that
God will deliver you and heal you completely. Lori, please let us know if we can do anything for your family. I would be glad to come and sit with Jalin after I leave school in the afternoon. Your new Sub is doing fine. I check with her every day. DO NOT worry about school. We will continue to handle everything on this end. Mrs. Coefield has been very supportive. We love you all and will continue to Pray for God's healing touch. Let us hear from you when you feel up to it. Denise

  6. Jalin,
I love you girl and hang in there. Just remember all this is part of God's plan and he won't give you anything you can't handle. Be patient with your body sweetie, it's going to take time. But I know you're going to recover 100 % very soon. Just give God the glory and remember he's allowing you to go through all this for a reason. You're so strong and you will get through this! I love you and know I'm here; we all are. Whatever you need.
    Love You

  7. Jalin,
The journey seems so hard now, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. With your faith and God's love, I know you will win the battle. Would love to see you, but we have been battling colds, and that is something you definitely don't need. Everyday all of you are in our prayers and thoughts.
    Love you,
    Rhonda and Barry Cason

If there is anything that we can do for any of you please do not hesitate to call. Jalin, the 5th and 6th grade students have a surprise coming to you in the near future. As soon as we get it finished, I am going to send it with Megan. We are so thankful to God for the miracles that He has performed in your life. Can't wait to hear more from you in the next few days.

  13. Hey Jalin,

You're home now and I know things aren't back to normal and they won't be for a while. Just remember, there is something that is suppose to come out of this. It's all in God's timing, not ours. When you feel frustrated, think of how far you have come. When you want to be mad at someone, think of how far you have come. When you feel like giving up, think of how far you have come. In such a very short time, just look what you have done. You have made it girl, you have pulled through a terrible, terrible tradgedy, look forward now, look up, and wait on God, listen for God. I can't imagine what you are going through, but God knows everything you need, inside and out. Take this time Jalin to "Be Still" and know He is God. I love you, and I feel there is so little I can do for you, but I can pray! And if in some small way my words may help, then, I pray that they do. Continue to be strong, if I can do anything for you, please know that I am here.
    Love you, Runa

  15. Lori,After reading your note from yesterday, I felt such compassion and heart ache as Jalin begins to face the long road of mending and restoration ahead of her(and for you ,for that matter). I was studying this morning and read some scripture that touched my heart, made me think of you guys. Whatever the circumstances,it seems those who suffer carry in their hearts a tangle of emotions, unraveling the mystery of suffering is no easy task. While I was reading I came across a passage in Jeremiah, " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and hope." Jer. 29:11 It seems like GOD is writing a love note that can help us to endure pain and suffering so we can see the outcome, the future, the hope. Sometimes it seems like theres no rhyme or reason for the pain that you are experiencing, but then I think maybe in GOD'S eyes your pain is just a first draft of a poem in the making, a poem that becomes a song in Jalin's case. I will continue to pray for Jalin's restoration and healing, and for pain free days and nights, and believe our Father has given us not only the strength and stamina to meet the challenge, but also the love and laughter to brighten your days. I am looking foward to seeing you soon. love and prayers, Cindy Sprewell

  17. Dear Jones family,
Since I didn't get to go to church, I decided I'd go to your website for some inspiration today. As always, after reading your messages, I am inspired. Inspired to be thankful for all the blessings in my life, to be grateful that I serve a merciful God & keep my eyes and heart on Him. Thank you for being such a blessing in my life.

  19. Dear Jones family,

I'm so glad to hear things are going so much better. It's odd that I don't even really know your family, but Jalin's story is helping me to be more patient on God with my son who has been sick most of his life. I will continue to pray for peace, patience, and perseverance!

  23. Jalin,

You hang in there girl, you can do this. I have gone through all this with my mother and there were days she wanted to give up but remembered had it not been for God she wouldn't be here. None of us would be here for that matter. It has been 7 months now since mother had her massive stroke and she is doing Great! You have so much support and people praying for you, I know God will give you just what you need in this time. Know my little family thinks of you often and prays for you daily.
    We love you all.

  24. Hey Jones family !!! We are so looking forward to seeing you guys back in church - hopefully this Sunday!! I hope you have had the much needed quiet and solitude since you've been home. We all want to do something for you to let you know how much we care, but I'm guessing the best thing we can do is allow you some space, lift you up in prayer, and send you encouraging comments!!! You guys (all of us really) have so much to be thankful for this year!! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and rest up for the BIG DAY!!! You guys are so loved and missed very much. Jalin, the kids in the Christmas play pray for you each practice and they hope you are able to attend our performance. Please continue posting to the blog, we all enjoy sharing in your journey and seeing what God is accomplishing. Lisa K
