Good Morning,
It is so great to be back home. Honestly, I never knew how much we all seem to take for granted. Yesterday was tough and I can't imagine what it is like not to be able to walk or turn over by yourself or simply not being able to sit up on your own. Jalin has been frustrated with all that. She wants her normal life back so bad. She is a very with it girl and she has been knocked down (But not for the count). In the days ahead I believe she will begin to be more mobile and feel less pain, but for now she is in a phyical and emotional place most of us have never been. Please continue to petition God on her behalf praying specifically for her wounds and her pains. Thank you again for giving her love and time to heal.

Jalin sweetheart, I will continue to pray that your mending and healing comes without so much suffering. I've not noted any of this in any of my comments before, but I went through a wreck much like this when I was 13 years old. It was around the Christmas holidays and so I have a little idea of what you are going through. When the time is right, maybe we can sit down and I'll tell you about that.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, remember this, while flat on your back, the best place to look is up!!! But you already knew that.
I love you sweetie and I'm over here cheering you on!

Jalin, I know this is a very difficult time for you and your family!! When you get down, remember there is someone in this world that has it worse and would gladly exchange places with you. When I get sick, or have had surgery, this is the way I comfort myself and especially my children when they are having a hard time dealing with circumstances!!! I'll never forget how hard it was for Mindy when she was wanting to conceive!! Many tears were shed but we never gave up!! We just kept praying and believing that the Lord was going to bless their home with a child and HE DID!!! You know the Lord may not come when we call, but he always comes on time!! Just remember this is just for a short time and it isn't permanent!! Many people have not gotten the good news that you did at UAB!! Their injuries have been for their lifetime. But praise God, you are on your way to being 100% again!! Just think, every day your body is mending and becoming stronger!! This time will pass and you will look back and see how you endured and not only became stronger in body but also in faith and spirit!!!The Lord is going to use you for his glory and honor!! He is preparing you now for bigger and greater things. He will reveal this to you in his own timing!! Just stand in awe and receive his wonderful blessings!!!! Praying for you, Sandra Harris
ReplyDeleteJalin & Family - I'm sure this must be a very frustrating time for all of you! I cannot imagine what it is like to lose your mobility and to be completely dependent upon others. Please know that we are all lifting you up in prayer that God will guide you, help you learn to cope, to adapt, overcome, to heal, to restore, and to once again be independent! Jalin, you are such an active girl and a go getter, try to be patient - God is not finished with you yet! :) Be assured your church family is cheering you on! We love you all - The Kemmerlins
ReplyDeleteHey Jones Family! I have a very encouraging story to tell you. Today a girl walked up to me and told me she really felt led to pray for you guys last night therefore she did and got to school today and told me, then i proceeded to tell her how well J is doing and she just starting to praise God! And THEN, yes it gets better, one of her friends came over and started talking to us about Jalin and then long story short she deceided to accept Jesus into her heart and is now going to start going to church!(and she is not the only one) SO i just thought i would share that with you and let you know that i know great things are happening therte in many lives but even 12 hours and however many miles away there are people that are having an eternal life change through this and once again i know this is only the begining! so PRAISE GOD for the miracles in Jalin's body and in your family and the families around you! Im still prayin and lifting ALL your family up every day! I love you guys, Jalin keep your head up and stay strong, Pastor Darryl and Lorie and Jordan, Keep struttin on through it. God is with you OF COURSE! So yep, i will see you soon and can't wait!

Jalin, I know these days are tough but they will be behind you one day. I remember those days when I came home from the hospital and couldn't walk, turn over in the bed, get out of bed, even pull up my pants by myself. But I can do all those things now! It will take some time but you will too! You have age on your side too. That will make your recovery much easier and faster. I know it doesn't seem easy now but keep your faith and a positive attitude and brighter days are on the horizon. I am praying for you to stay strong and get stonger every day! You are precious in His sight. Glenda Triplett

ReplyDeleteJalin,
ReplyDeleteBe patient sweetheart. I know that it's tough and hard, but you will make it through this tough time. Continue to put your faith in the Lord and he will prevail! Your body is feeble and needs to get it's strength back to normal. You are a strong person and things will be back to normal before you know it. (Milk it while you can.) LOL!! Always praying for you and your family.
We love you,

HI Jones Family, Mrs. Riddle and I have been in Huntsville for the past three days at a counselors' conference. We were so disappointed that we missed your ride around RHS. Mrs. Mitzi filled us in on the events by phone on Wednesday evening. We stood in the convention center lobby crying like babies! We are so proud of you, and we will continue to pray for you and your family. Call us if we can do anything for you all. Love you lots, Paulette Gibbs
ReplyDeleteJalin I'm so glad you're back home. It is such great news to hear. You are stronger than anyone I know and such a fighter. God has put a blessing on your life and I can see that he has a lot planned in your life ahead. I miss seeing you at school everyday and at church. Prayers are with you every day.

P.S. You looked so good the day you came by the school. It was so good to see you in a better shape than you have been.
Bro.Daryll and Mrs.Lori,
It is so great to hear that you are back home and out of the hospital. You've been through so much the past three weeks and made it this far I say that's great. The best part is that Jalin is doing a lot better. Just wanted you to know that your in my prayers. You mean so much to me and it just hurt me to find out that Jalin got in the wreck and now it just warms my heart to hear that your back home and Jalin is doing much better. Even though she can't walk I see that in time she will be able to. Just wanted you to know that I love all of ya'll.Lots of prayers!
JALIN,
ReplyDeleteI HOPE YOU GET BETTER WHERE YOU CAN GET UP AND WALK AND SIT UP AND SING AND OTHER THINGS LIKE THAT.GOD WILL BE WITH YOU

Dear sweet Jalin,
ReplyDeleteAs I read the notes of your homecoming, tears of joy trickled down my cheeks. With every word, I recognized a story I have read over and over. It is the story of David, after winning battles, conquering lands and absorbing wealth, he wanted to do something more. He decided that he wanted to give something to a family member of his old friend Jonathan, who had gone on.
He discovered a son named, Mephibosheth - who had never been able to walk. He called for him to come and have supper with him. Mephibosheth was scared and didn't understand the kindness David was offering - after all - he was the King! What could he want with this one who could not even walk. He arrived before King David and the King said, "I am going to restore to you everything that has been taken." And he did! David also said, "From now on, you will eat at MY table as one of the King's sons!"
Jalin, that is one of my favortie scenes in our Bible because it is a picture of how much God (our King, our Lord and our Savior) loves us. One day, at another homecoming, we will be presented to Him with all of our flaws and broken places and crippled notions of ourselves and he will restore everything back to us that has been taken - time, relationships, health, memories, broken promises, faith - but most importantly - He will draw us to His side and every tear will be wiped away.
Praise His Holy and Righteous name for the miracle He has and is performing in your life, Jalin. Every memory I have of you is a good one! Thank you, to you and your family for the lessons of grace, mercy and perseverance you have taught me in the last 24 days. May all of our lives from here on - be a reflection of His goodness and faithfulness.
I look forward to sitting next to you at the King's table! We might even make paper flowers for a centerpiece!
With much love and prayers,
Mrs. Baldwin
