Hello Everyone,
We had Jalin's appointments at UAB today. It was a long day. We were gone about nine hours! The Ortho surgeon group said that the pain in her left foot could be caused by the screws, but probably it is the nerve waking up and recovering from trauma. He showed her a couple of exercises to do and said to give the medication more time to work. He was pleased with her xrays of the pelvis area. The other appointment was with the trauma group. This doctor explained more to us about the nerve and the fact that it could be bruised. It takes more time to heal, and she must be patient. He prescribed her another med to help with relieving the nerve pain. It is no quick fix, however, the nerve has no pain receptors and meds just will not take the pain away like a bone or muscle. It is trial and error to see which meds each person's body might respond to. We are trying the new one now. This doc had fallen off a roof in his past and was able to ease our minds about the recovery of trauma and what to expect. We must be patient as her body heals. All of her wounds look good and are healing well. It was a good report, but not really satisfying for Jalin. She wants the pain gone and wants to get up and walk around. She still has 60 days of not allowing weight on her legs. She is a miracle! We just need prayer for her to allow God to heal her completely, even if it is not on our time frame. He knows what He is doing! His mercies never fail!
Please keep lifting her up!
We love each one of you,
Lori

Jalin, Bro Darryl and Lori,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great report! I know it may not seem like what you wanted to hear Jalin, but like your Mom says, in God's time. I really have needed this blog to keep informed, so please keep posting. You may not think anyone wants to hear every little detail, but I assure you I do. I'll pray for that one nerve if that's what it is. I'll pray for that screw, if that's the source of pain. I'll pray that the correct meds will be found for what you need. Just keep me informed and let me know how to pray specifically. I'll continue to lift you all up!!! No matter if it's something in particular or not.
I love each of you and look forward to hearing more from you!
God's continued blessings on you,
Donna Agan-Williams
Just wanted to let you guys know that we are thinking about you and praying for you. Jalin I can not imagine how bad you want to just jump up and go. Terry was the same way when he had his motorcycle wreck. Just be patient!!! I know it is easier said than done. We love you!!! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJalin -
ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult to be patient, especially in today's fast food world. We want it NOW!! I cannot imagine not being mobile on my own for that long, but when you feel defeated, remember God has had a plan in this before it ever happened. Sounds like you've had an exciting week - church, playing & singing, trip to Bowdon, UAB and eating out!! We are praying for your pain to be relieved and for you to be able to wait on God. God has BIG plans for you!! Your situation reminds me of Brenda Robinson - when she could not do for herself, she read the Bible & prayed in her closet! You have been given a great opportunity to spend time with God, praising & worshipping Him, reading His love letter to you, talking to Him, and relaxing in His arms. At 16, it's difficult to think of this as an opportunity, but think of the testimony you will have to share! Not just what God did with your body, how He saved and healed it, but what He put in your heart, what He said to you, how He answered your prayers! Enjoy this time with your parents (waitng on you!!)and grower closer to them. We love you girl - The Kemmerlins
I praise God for the good news. I know that it is frustrating for Jalin. Its hard to sit still when we are adults but to be 16 and told that you have all these limitations is beyond frustrating. I know she wants to be up and back to her normal activities. Just remember the bible verse "Be still and know that I am God"... He knows what His plans are. We are overjoyed though at the progress. Jalin, to see you at church on Sunday was a blessing to us like you will never know. To see you smile like you were, and hear you sing and play. God was all over you. Such TRIUMPH!!! You will never know what it meant to me to see you girls walk in that church TOGETHER. It was like letting out a breath that had been held for a long time. We love you and pray for you everyday.
ReplyDeleteJalin,

Jalin I know it is hard to be patient, but sometimes when life throughs you situations you just have to be patient. It's not always easy. You'll get there I just know it. God has it all in his hands. You aren't the kind of girl I know that would just give up that easy. To me you're the strongest girl when it comes to this kind of situtation. I'm so proud you have come this far in just this many weeks. Seeing you at church Sunday made me feel so overwellemed. I was so glad to see your beautiful smile and that nothing was different and to hear you sing was amazing. Satin was all over me and right when you walked in that door God came in and knocked him right back where he belonged. God was all over the room that day. It wa so great. Or as your dad
ReplyDeletealways says,"AIN'T IT SO GOOD!" Just wanted you I love you and will continue praying that your foot heals. Lots of prayers!
LOVE YA GIRL,

BRO.DARYLL AND MRS.LORI,
You are such a blessing to me and to see you and hear your voices Sunday was a blessing. I'm sure hope youe able to make it again this Sunday. I love you all and will continue to pray that Jalin's foot heals. I will also pray for you and the rest of your family. I wish you the best the rest of this week.
Jalin you are such a beautiful girl. If anyone can tell you about patients then ask me and Wesley. It is normal that we want everything NOW. But just remember...God will take care of everything in his timing. I pray that the new med's take the pain away and that you get rest from here on out.

Jalin,
ReplyDeleteIt is so great to hear how well you are healing. Pain is never an easy thing to deal with. As my Mother always told me, "there is no gain without pain" You are gaining strength each and every day, and God is performing that miracle for you. He deserves ALL of the glory, honor, and praise for it all! As the days go by, your pain will get less and less, but you will get stronger and stronger. you will look back and be able to see that God was so faithful to you each and every day and poured His mercy and grace on you that none of us deserve.
God will not move the rock in your life, but He will direct you around it. God will light our way. You are so blessed beyond measure. You are such a beautiful miracle indeed and don't you ever forget that.
In Christ,
Mrs. Lisa Holland
